Make sure each and every one of your web pages has a complete
title tag. There's nothing worse than having a user generator
search results page with your web site listed and finding
" insert your title here" as the as the title
for your page.
You see this all the time in the search engines and it
such a wasted opportunity!
Google makes it possible to search just the title tag in
its index results. This makes it very easy for the web surfer
to read the Google search results page and are an easy way
for the server to quickly get an idea what your page is
about.
If your not making the most of your title
tag you missing out on a lot of attention for your site.
The ideal title type says something specific about the
page that it's part of. It should be readable and means
something to both Web surfers and spiders.
Make it a complete readable sentence. Don't just stuff
it with a bunch of keywords over and over and over.
Make it no more the 60 characters long and use your most
important keyword in it as the first or second word.
